Rental Requirements & Important Information

Deposit Authorization

A deposit authorization for the full retail value of the equipment (plus tax) is required unless you qualify for our preferred verification options below.

A temporary hold will be placed on your credit card and released when the equipment is returned.

Note: Full deposit processing may take additional time depending on manager availability.


Preferred Verification (Avoid Full Deposit Hold)

To qualify, all three of the following are required:

Accepted utility providers include: PG&E, SMUD, Xfinity (Internet), Sacramento Water Agency, and similar providers.

Verification expires when your ID expires or after 2 years of inactivity.

Studio rentals do not require rental verification.


Pickup & Return Times

Pickups after 5:45pm may be subject to a late pickup fee (same pricing as early pickup).

Early Pickup Fees:
$10 for the first item, $5 for each additional item


Closed on Sundays

We are closed on Sundays.
Please do not schedule drop-offs or returns on Sunday.

The extra day is almost free!


Refunds & Fees


Equipment Use & Responsibility

Renters are responsible for knowing how to use the equipment they rent, including compatibility with batteries, memory cards, and accessories.

Action Camera does not provide training on rental equipment. Please ask any questions before your rental begins.

No refunds will be given due to lack of familiarity with the equipment.

Important: Action Camera does not provide camera or lens bags.
Please bring your own bag or case to safely transport rented equipment.

Rental Conditions

The person renting this equipment accepts the merchandise described and states that it was in good condition at the time received. The lessee agrees to pay the rental rate for the period the merchandise is used and further agrees to return the merchandise in good condition at the end of the rental period. The lessee also agrees to pay for any damages to, or loss of, the rented merchandise occurring during the rental period. Repairs will be charged at current rates.

Any fees incurred by late return, repairs or loss of items will be charged to the credit card used at the time of rental. Late fees will be calculated at the rate written on the Rental Invoice at pickup plus any normal extension fees.

If equipment is not returned as per original schedule and extension is not possible due to another reservation, an additional late fee will be added to the original late fee and charged for every day the equipment is not returned. (Example: $21 late fee becomes $42 per day) Action Camera reserves the right to charge for the full equipment value if the above happens and the equipment is not being returned.

A full days rental is charged, even for partial day’s use. The lessee agrees to pay the regular rental rate for each day the merchandise is originally scheduled out, as well as any extensions or until it is returned to the lessor, there is no refund for early return. The lessee will also pay the lessor for any charges incurred by him or her to recover merchandise not promptly returned when requested. The lessor retains the right to end the lease and take possession of the merchandise if it is not returned upon request.

The lessor assumes no responsibility for damage to materials or other liability of any kind resulting from the use of the equipment.
